On Saturday, June 15th, the powerful augmented reality (AR) exhibition “Augmented Reality Tales of War and Peace” officially opened in the streets and squares of both Roskilde (Denmark) and Beaugency (France), and on June 22nd in Ukraine. This exhibition, which delves into the tragedy and horror of war and our urgent need for peace, was collaboratively created over the last two years by 18 artists from Denmark, Ukraine, France, and Italy. The fourth and final opening will take place in Cosenza (Italy) on July 4th.

The ARTWP Exhibition is a significant and moving experience, available for free in all four cities until summer 2026. Citizens of each city, both young and old, can discover and engage with the artworks using their smartphones or tablets by simply downloading the Meadow AR app. The ARTWP Exhibition aims to provide thought-provoking content, echoing the sentiment of Afghani graffiti artist Shamsia Hassani: “Art can change people’s minds, and people… people can change the world!”

Capturing the Experience: Audience Reflections

The strong video of the event shared by the Ukrainian team showcased the profound impact of the artworks. Beaugency and Roskilde also received strong feedback from the audience. Following these powerful presentations in Roskilde, Beaugency, and Lviv, our partners from Associazione Oltrezona in Cosenza, Italy, are set to make their presentation tomorrow. The event will take place on Thursday, July 4th, at 11:00 AM at the Galleria Nazionale di Cosenza. We invite everyone nearby to join them and experience this unique exhibition.
The Augmented Reality Tales of War and Peace AR exhibition will remain in the public spaces of all four partner cities until the summer of 2026. The ARTWP teams from Denmark, France, and Ukraine send their good vibes and positivity to the ARTWP team in Italy. Join us in this immersive journey and witness how art, augmented reality, and the collaborative efforts of artists from different cultures can evoke powerful emotions and foster a deeper understanding of war and peace.
